Article on the Higley schools budget override

Emily Gersema put up a short article over at the AZ Republic site on the budget override that appears on the ballot this election season.

If you are wondering… VOTE YES! It will not change your taxes now (since it has been in place already for years) but it will help us improve Higley Schools and that in turn will increase your home values.

I don’t think Emily has researched well enough to write the article the way she did. She obvioulsy has never worked at a school or volunteered with the youth, or she would know that a budget is needed to be successful in schools.

What the voters need to realize is- we can elect a new board who will make sure (as Kim Anderson has been trying to do for years) that responsibility is taken in HUSD and ensure that the tax dollars are being spent on the students, and the teachers, and programs to enrich childrens’ lives- not tax dollars that go toward the administrations pockets.
Remember- the running board members are not paid for their soon-to-be positions, they have done their homework, and they know that this money is needed for the schools to be successful.

Kim Anderson and these 3 gentlmen running will make HUSD a great place for students, teachers, staff, and the community!!!!
