Although it is nice to read this piece of information, it makes me wonder why 3 of the 4 new principals are new to our district. Were ANY of our prior staff members considered for these positions? Does our district not promote from within? What incentive is there for our staff to stay if there seems to be no growth opportunities? Each time I hear of new positions opening, it appears that they are filled by people from outside the district. I would be very interested to know how many of those teachers and staff members that were let go earlier this year were rehired back into the district and how many are still unemployed.
